Information Technology Center
 

Services in Doğuş University Information Technology Center are conducted by System/Network and Technical Services, Software, Web Technologies units, offering developments in the field of informatics to Doğuş University students. Source sharing, internet output and central data storing services are offered through this one center.

Doğuş University houses 13 high performance computer labs available for student use. These labs are divided into 1 LapTop labs, 2 Macintosh labs, 8 PC labs, 1 Multimedia lab and 1 Animation lab. The computers are substructure with a data processing system that can transfer data in 1Gbps data rate between Acıbadem and Hasanpaşa campuses. These computers include up-to-date mathematics, statistics, science, engineering and designing software besides Office Applications. Students can also use labs outside class hours. In addition the university provides 50 multimedia equipped rooms to use for for computer based presentations and lessons with the possibility of simultaneous work of Laptop-PC, Home theater sound system, DVD via Projection, and NTSC supported VHS visual systems. Doğuş University has 18 lecture halls equipped with all visual and audio equipment. Wireless communication service is provided from 22 locations on campus and a campus wide project to provide increased wi-fi service in the university has been launched.

Using a 100 mbps internet speed, Doğuş University provides each student with 50mb system space and a 100mb e-mail account. It is possible for students to reach their e-mail accounts from their houses or any computer they want.

Thanks to the software developed by the Information Technology Center Software Unit, which has the responsibility of developing all software since the university was founded, course registrations are made on the internet. Our students also have access to all information concerning their education such as attendance status, grades, attendance to Cultural Development Seminars via the software developed by our staff.

The Information Technology Center also conducts the design and development proceedings of Doğuş University web pages. The mission of the Information Technology Center is, through the work of its staff, to follow developments in technology and help the university benefit from those developments to continue to be one of the forerunners in providing information technology to students at all times.
