DOĞUŞ UNIVERSITY PSYCHOLOGY EDUCATION CENTER (DUPEM)
DUPEM is a research and service department operated under the umbrella by our clinic
psychology master program. Dupem provides the students and the staff of the university
with the consultancy service free of charge.

2. How Dupem works
Upon the first visit to the center, an application form is filled in. Based on this
application form, a supervisor and a trainee psychologist are assigned to work with
the person. After that, the first appointment is confirmed.
In Dupem, the process of helping our students according to their needs is carried
out with an authentic understanding of a team which consists of an intern psychologist
and supervisor. The American Psychology Association and Turkish psychology ethic
commission approves of the system in Dupem. The patients are provided with the information
of how Dupem works and asked for their confirmation of acceptance. The information
about the people who ask for advice in Dupem is not shared with others without the
written approval of patients. The content of the consultation is kept as a secret
between the student, the in-turn psychologist and the supervisor. The content of
the consultation is never shared with others under any circumstances.
In the first consultation, the problem is defined. Then, the psychotherapy is carried
on with the in-turn psychologist and the supervisor.
In addition to psychotherapy in Dupem, the group work of 7-8 people is periodically
-2 hours per week-carried out in order to help the personal development of students.
3. Therapists
They are the in-turn psychologists who have degrees in psychology and also studying
the last term of their master program of clinic psychology at our university
4. Supervisors
In Dupem, the supervision of therapy is carried out by the lecturers at Dogus University.
All are Phd educated.
