After graduating from Istanbul University Faculty of Law he recieved his doctorate from the same university. He served as prosecutor and judge in various provinces of Anatolia. Following retirement, he was appointed Deputy to the Chairman of the Board of Touring and Automobile Association of Turkey by the Ministry of Interior. While in this role, he also became a member of the Council for the Protection of Cultural and Natural Heritage in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. During this period, he worked as a part-time lecturer at Yeditepe University Faculty of Law and Kadir Has University Faculty of Law. He has been writing articles and essays in a variety of publications and academic journals since 1990. He has been writing continuously in the Turkish World History Journal.

Apart from his books, he has about 250 research articles, essays and scientific written and oral presentations on various subjects.
