Program Objectives
The unpredictable levels of increase in Internet usage and the permanence of said increase brought along information security. Safety of the information of persons and institutions that utilize computer networks have also gained importance. At this point,
the significance of information technologies become apparent again. The purpose of Information Security Program at Doğuş University is to educate qualified and well-equipped employees, needed by firms that work actively in the field of information
technologies.
During the two years, students will be taught about computer network technologies and the software and hardware resources that are required to establish the security infrastructure of these technologies.
Moreover, students will be required to complete an internship of a total of 30 business days, where they will reinforce their theoretical knowledge with practice and seize the opportunity to meet their future workplaces and coworkers, while they are still
students.
Graduates of this program can work at institutions that provide Internet and electronic mail services, have multi-user computers systems, computer networks, deal in e-commerce, conduct remote trainings and so on, as system security specialists, IT specialists,
system support specialists, system and network consultants and Internet programmers.
