1- About the Data Controller
According
to the Personal Data Protection Law no. 6698 (hereinafter referred to
as “PDPL”), Doğuş
University (hereinafter
referred to as “UNIVERSITY”)
shall be the data controller on the grounds that it processes your
personal data.
Since you are one of our students, we process your personal data, and thus render you a data subject, in the ways detailed below and within the limits and framework as prescribed by the relevant legislation. As Article 10 of the Law which regulates the
obligation of data controller, obliges the data controllers to inform the data subjects whose personal data they process about some issues, we would like to notify you of our procedures of personal data processing.

In relation to your status as a student, your personal data is processed with the purposes of carrying out the registration procedures of the students who have gotten into our university as well as the operations which will be performed within the scope
of the education legislation during the education period; establishing the rights arising from educational activities and carrying out various academic and administrative procedures within the scope of Higher Education Legislation and university internal
regulations; enrolling students in the university's student automation system and sharing the account information with them; creating an e-mail account with @dogus.edu.tr extension for each student and providing necessary services; creating documents
such as Student Certificate, Transcript, Interim Graduation Certificate, Diploma, Discharge Certificate and submitting them to the students; managing the processes of disciplinary proceedings that are opened/to be opened against students and upon
request, issuing a disciplinary document to prove that the student haven’t received any disciplinary punishment; planning and executing processes related to student status in order to carry out educational activities in accordance with the Higher
Education Law and related secondary legislation; Conducting communication processes with students and making announcements/informing students; re-registration by the university, etc. organizing and announcing activities; Ensuring the protection and
fulfillment of the rights and obligations of students who study/graduate in the relevant academic unit/departments within the university; Carrying out activities, announcing and providing the necessary communication in order to enable our graduates
to benefit from the social opportunities, activities and business/career consultancy services of our university; Fulfilling obligations and taking necessary measures within the framework of occupational health and safety; Monitoring by means of (camera

for registration renewal, horizontal/vertical transfer, graduate, graduate, scholarship and similar student-related transactions, and determining and executing the university's education, scholarship and management strategies based on the information

Evaluation of students' excuse applications and execution of processes; Receiving and evaluating students' requests and complaints; Conducting distance or online education processes; Conducting the graduation processes of the students and completing
the dismissal procedures; Identification of the student's license plate in order to ensure physical space security; Fulfilling the decisions of the courts and enforcement offices or the requests of other public institutions and organizations; Following
and executing the cases in which you are involved in the courts with the University and/or reciprocally; Opening and executing enforcement proceedings regarding you and/or sharing the information requested from the University due to enforcement proceedings
opened against you with the relevant enforcement offices, personal data processing conditions specified in the articles of the Law No. 6698. 5/2- a) “It is expressly permitted by any law”, ç) “It is necessary for compliance

We can transfer the relevant personal data for the purposes of settling legal disputes, prosecuting or maintaining judicial processes or meeting a legal or juridical liability to authorized public enterprises and agencies (primarily but not limited to
Ministries, Presidency boards, and Higher Education Institution) that are stated in the laws as required by the relevant legislation and private persons with statutory power and/or the relevant law enforcement officers or our contracted lawyers who
pursue our judicial processes.

As the Relevant Person What Are Your Rights as Stated in Item 11 of
PDPL
As the owners of the personal data, if you submit requests regarding your rights to our institution by choosing any method that you desire among those we state below, the institution completes your request as soon as possible or within thirty days at
the latest for free of charge, depending on its nature. However, if the request requires an extra cost, the tariff amount determined by the Personal Data Protection Board of our University is collected.
As a person whose personal data is processed, you own rights (of inquiring about personal data processing, requesting information about the process, inquiring about the utility of the process, knowing who conducts the transfer, requesting a correction
in incomplete or faulty processing, or deletion or eradication, demanding notification of all automatic transactions for third parties, objecting the analysis and demanding compensation for the loss) as stated in Item 11 of the law, which regulates
the rights of the relevant person.
You can submit your appeals regarding your rights stated in Item 11 of the law with the necessary evidence confirming your identity and your request letter including your statements regarding the right you claim to exercise by filling in the Personal
Data Owner Appeal Form at www.dogus.edu.tr and handing in a signed copy of the form to the address “Doğuş
