DOUKAS Team Attended the Eureko Insurance Conference: “The Power of Transformation: Turning Risks into Opportunities in Sustainability”

The team from Doğuş University’s Carbon Footprint and Sustainability Application and Research Center (DOUKAS) attended the conference titled “The Power of Transformation: Turning Risks into Opportunities in Sustainability,” hosted by Eureko Insurance in collaboration with Entes Electronic in Altunizade. During the event, industry representatives shared their strategies for turning the challenges they face in their sustainability journeys into opportunities. Participants had the chance to evaluate the impacts of climate change on various sectors, the reflections of sustainable development policies on the business world, companies’ carbon management and reduction processes, as well as digital and green transformation practices. These sessions provided participants with both up-to-date information and sectoral perspectives, offering new horizons for their sustainability efforts. As the DOUKAS team, we actively participate in sectoral events to contribute to knowledge sharing and transformation processes in the field of sustainability.

Lecturer at Doğuş University (DOU), has been appointed as the chair of Workshop 1 titled “Beyond Automation: Human-Centered AI for the Future of Online Learning”, which will be held as part of the International Human-Computer Interaction for Industrial Applications (HCIA 2026) Conference. The workshop has been officially accepted following the evaluation of the conference’s scientific committee. Accordingly, Lecturer Ali Batuhan Yıldız will represent Doğuş University (DOU) at the conference as the Workshop Chair. The HCIA 2026 Conference will be held in Singapore on December 3–4, 2026. As Doğuş University, we congratulate him for his academic contributions.

Lecturer Ali Batuhan Yıldız and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Semra Boğa Şahin from our university attended the “Turkey Artificial Intelligence Summit” as invited participants, organized by TRAI (Turkey Artificial Intelligence Initiative) on October 23 at Wyndham Levent, Istanbul. Held for the eighth consecutive year, this summit brought together hundreds of institutions and over 1,500 participants, addressing topics such as the transformative impact of artificial intelligence on industries, next-generation technologies, unicorn candidates, and interactive panels with business leaders. Within the scope of the summit, meetings were held on behalf of our university with global technology companies and industry representatives to discuss potential collaborations.
