“CV Preparation and Interview Techniques in the Light of Career Counseling” Event Held

The event titled “CV Preparation and Interview Techniques in the Light of Career Counseling,” organized by Assist. Prof. Dr. Özden İBRAHİMAĞAOĞLU, Head of the Human Resources Management Program at Doğuş University Vocational School, who also served as the speaker and program coordinator of the event, was held on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, at the B2-04 Conference Hall of the Dudullu Campus with strong student participation. The event, which took place between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m., provided a productive learning environment by contributing to the development of the knowledge and skills students will need during their transition into professional life.

As the speaker of the event, Assist. Prof. Dr. Özden İBRAHİMAĞAOĞLU met with our students after planning and organizing the event in her capacity as program coordinator. During the session, she shared valuable information on effective CV preparation processes, the importance of preparing a résumé when entering professional life, common mistakes made in résumés, effective cover letter writing techniques, interview methods, key considerations during job interviews, recruitment processes, the criteria human resources professionals focus on when evaluating candidates, frequently asked interview questions, and professional communication skills. The event was organized with the aim of contributing to students’ career development and increasing their awareness regarding effective CV preparation, interview readiness, interview techniques, and career planning.

During the event, the importance of accurately presenting oneself and effectively demonstrating personal competencies throughout career planning processes was emphasized. The event was considered a significant contribution to enhancing students’ career awareness and supporting their preparation for professional working life. Real-life business examples and practical recommendations were shared, while students’ questions were addressed and guidance was provided in line with their career goals.
