“Mezun–Öğrenci Buluşması” Event Held

The “Alumni–Student Meeting” event, organized by Assist. Prof. Dr. Özden İBRAHİMAĞAOĞLU, Head of the Human Resources Management Program at Doğuş University Vocational School, who also served as the speaker and coordinator of the event, was held on June 11, 2026, at the B2-04 Conference Hall of the Dudullu Campus with strong student participation. Conducted between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m., the event aimed to enable alumni to share their professional experiences, career journeys, and sector-specific achievements with current students, contribute to students’ professional development, and strengthen interaction between alumni and students.

Bringing together academic and professional experiences, the event provided alumni with the opportunity to discuss the opportunities and challenges they encountered throughout their careers. Students, in turn, had the chance to engage directly with alumni, ask questions, and gain up-to-date insights into professional life. The event sought to support students’ career planning processes, enhance their awareness of the business world, and foster stronger connections between alumni and current students. In addition, Yonca Şensoy, representing the University Alumni Office and also a graduate of the Human Resources Management Program, shared information regarding ongoing initiatives aimed at maintaining and strengthening communication between alumni and the university.

The Alumni–Student Meeting also provided an applied learning environment not only for Human Resources Management students but also for fourth-year students from the Department of English Translation and Interpreting. For the first time, these students gained experience in a real conference setting by practicing shadowing techniques and Turkish–English simultaneous interpretation exercises.

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Assist. Prof. Dr. Özden İBRAHİMAĞAOĞLU, Head of the Human Resources Management Program at the Vocational School, for organizing this event and wish her continued success in her academic and professional endeavors. We also thank our alumni, the representative of the Alumni Office, participating academics, and all students whose interest and participation contributed to the success of the event.
